Adventures at Little Sheep

Bryan’s parents have been here this weekend.  Yesterday, we went to the Farmer’s Market before watching football.  After a few hours of football and napping, Cindy and I went shopping.  I was on the hunt for a new dress and after trying on every maternity dress in the mall, left with some nice shirts, but no dress.  It was then dinner time!  Tim’s favorite restaurant is Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot.  We ventured to downtown San Mateo and were able to beat the crowd.  Yous should think of Mongolian Hot Pot as Chinese fondue.  The first time I tried it I wasn’t too fond of it, but it is growing on me.

They bring everything out for you and you start cooking.  We had lamb, beef, meatballs, shrimp, and an array of veggies.

The most unusual thing we ordered was jellyfish.  The flavor was good, but the texture was too weird for me.  It tasted like seaweed salad.

It is very messy, so Bryan decided to where a bib.

Tim was a happy camper!

Today marks 32 weeks!  I am having a baby next month!!!!  More news on the pregnancy after the Dr.  appt. tomorrow.

  1. Not so fast Kristen! Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it. It’s a very tasty, low cal, low-fat meal and it’s fun! You don’t have to get jellyfish.Your sister is a very good sport. She and Bryan actually got us a hot pot for Christmas once. It is a fun dinner to have with friends. Cindy and I think that Jenny is doing very well.
