A day in Wine Country

Yesterday, we went to Wine Country with our friends Matt and Teanne.  We met them about 7 years ago when we lived in Pennsylvania.  Teanne and I worked together at the local newspaper.  We went to a few wineries, had a picnic, and then went to dinner at Ad Hoc.  It was one of the best meals ever!

Our first stop was Beringer,  This is were we had our picnic.  Something weird was going on with my camera, so the pictures didn’t take.

We then headed to Mum, where the specialize in sparkling wine.  I love going here because of the view and the atmosphere.

Dinner was the highlight of the day!  Ad Hoc is in Youtville and one of Thomas Keller’s restaurants.  The menu changes daily and it is served family style.  Everything we had was amazing and we left with our bellies full.

Salad with green beans, potatoes, prosciutto, figs

Short Ribs with chickpeas, swiss chard, and grilled peaches

Goat Cheese from Spain with apples, sunflower seeds, and port wine reduction

Tres Leches—Amazing

We had a great day!  Today, I am 22 weeks pregnant.  We are going to Baby’s R Us to see what we can find.
